I am the owner and operator of Mama Shawn’s Sweet Spot. My love and journey for baking began around the young age of 8. I came from a family that instilled values as well as the importance of developing and utilizing the gifs that we are blessed from none other than the Lord himself. Growing up my family and I were very much involved in Church at St Phillips Lutheran in Detroit MI, we would serve in the kitchen nearly every Sunday which is where my journey began. The Saturdays spent preparing cheesecakes and pound cakes were endless but when you doing something you love that didn’t matter. Because of my mother and grandmother pouring into me and nurturing me in the kitchen my love for baking still resides in me some 47 years later. I now am blessed to serve my baked treats at Arise Hope Café in FL where all proceeds are utilized to support missions. This is such an honor for me to be able to be a part of Gods kingdom building.
